FAROE ISLANDS
The harsh climate on these isolated islands in the North Atlantic Ocean has formed a stunning scenery with cliffs falling thousands of feet into the sea and waterfalls cutting their way through the mountains.
Counting only some 40.000 inhabitants and therefore being outnumbered by sheep, the Faroe islands remain one of the most isolated places in Europe, People here have adapted to daily rain and wind that almost never stops. Still the many islands connected by helicopter, bridges and daunting underwater tunnels evoke a unique and most impressive atmosphere.
